1-Aya Sofia:

It is one of the most beautiful and important places the world has witnessed. Aya Sofia was first a church, then it was turned to a mosque by Muslims who entered the city. The building stands there proudly to show everyone who visits it the beauty of its architecture.


2- Topkapi palace:

A place that you can’t miss visiting while in Istanbul. Topkapi Palace was the residence palace of the sultans who ruled the place. It contains many great rooms inside of it, and each room had its own purpose. Also, it is very near to the sea of Marmara and Bosphorus. So you will enjoy the place really there.


3- A cruise in Bosphorus:

The Grand Bazaar is one of the oldest, largest, and most famous bazaars in Istanbul. Right behind the mosque, you will find the Arasta Bazaar, a very nice Bazaar where you can buy souvenirs and great handmaid crafts.


6- Basilica Cistern:

This is too is one of Istanbul’s most beautiful and surprising sites too. The Basilica is like a palace underground, with all of its huge columns around you. This place was used to store water for Byzantine emperors. When you go there you will be surprised with its huge columns standing proudly, and its overall great design.


7- Istanbul Archeology museum:

For museums lovers, this one definitely should be on your list to visit there. The museum shows the history of the region in its three sections: the Museum of the ancient orient, the Archeology Museum, and the Tiled Pavilion of Mehmet the Conqueror. It also has a room called Istanbul over the edges that you should see too.


8- Suleiman mosque:

This is also an ancient beautiful site that you must see. This mosque was built by the famous architect Sinan. Outside of it, there is the Ottoman cemetery, which has the tombs of the Sultan Soliman and his wife.


 9- Spice Bazaar:

This is too is one of the most famous places to visit in there. You can buy spices, herbs, nuts, and dried fruits from this Bazaar. But try to visit it before 11 a.m and after 4 p.m to avoid the crowds.


10- Museum of Turkish and Islamic arts:

This museum is a very nice place where you can see Islamic arts including ottoman arts. And you can also see carpets made on the Turkish, Iran, and Caucasus style.


11- Rustem Pasha mosque:

This mosque too is a very special mosque with a very special design in Istanbul. The mosque is near the Spice Bazaar, and it has very beautiful colors and design.



12- Galata tower:

This place will let you see all of Istanbul from above. It has an elevator that you can take and see the wonderful view of the city from the balcony above. It is also very famous so try to visit it early enough to avoid the crowds.
